A lighter but still futuristic looking 2012 Hyundai Veloster is going on sale in The United States soon. With a starting price of $17,300, this small hatchback from the Korean auto maker promises to be a big draw, and be introduced as one of several vehicles new to the company (including new Equus flagship car).
$17K includes a 1.6-liter GDI inline four-cylinder engine with six-speed manual transmission. For $1250 you can add in a Hyundai EcoShift dual clutch automatic transmission.
Seven-inch touchscreen display and Bluetooth come standard in 2012′s Veloster, and you can grab a $2000 “style package” upgrade. That includes front fog lights, leather seat bolsters, premium audio system and subwoofer. Another $2000 tech package gives you navigation and push button start. Guess Hyundai likes to keep their numbers nice and uniform. The 2012 Veloster hits dealership lots in September.
