[h=1]Hyundai Veloster Turbo Transformed into Night Racer for SEMA[/h]by HYUNDAI IN THE NEWS on OCTOBER 1, 2013
The Las Vegas nightlife is about to get a whole lot brighter, thanks to a new Hyundai Veloster Turbo that’s being SEMA-fied by the team at the EGR Group. A longtime player in the aftermarket industry, EGR has reimagined the high-velocity Veloster as a time-attack car for night racing, complete with a roof-mounted LED light bar by Wurton, custom headlights by ONEighty and a screaming yellow exterior finish dubbed “Yellowcake.”
EGR then upgraded the exterior of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo with a wide-body aero kit, hood deflector, window visors, rear spoiler and bumper guard, set off by a front splitter by APR and DPE three-piece racing wheels. Of course, this night racer is ready to go motoring, too, courtesy of a retuned powertrain by Bisimoto Engineering, a MagnaFlow exhaust and AEM intake. Backed by these enhancements, the output from the car’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is up to 250 horsepower, but drivers can rely on a set of oversized stoppers by Brembo to keep things under control.
Other modifications to EGR’s one-of-a-kind Hyundai Veloster Turbo include:
The trade-only 2013 SEMA Show, presented annually by the Specialty Market Equipment Association, is scheduled to run from November 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
