[h=1]Unique Zombie-Fighting Hyundai Santa Fe to Debut at NY Comic-Con[/h]by HYUNDAI IN THE NEWS on OCTOBER 8, 2013

The Hyundai Santa Fe is breathing new life into the crossover segment in this country, thanks to a one-of-a-kind edition designed to battle the undead. Slated to make its public premiere at this month’s 2013 Comic-Con in New York, the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe “Zombie Survival Machine” is the latest effort in Hyundai’s ongoing partnership with the award-winning cable series “The Walking Dead,” but it was designed by Arizona’s Anson Kuo, who created it using the creepy custom configurator located online atwww.WalkingDeadChopShop.com
The vehicle then was brought to life, so to speak, by the team at Galpin Auto Sports and it features upgrades like an automatic crossbow, razor-wire windows, three machine guns, aluminum armor, a muffler silencer, knife blades and a samurai sword.
“We love Anson Kuo’s take on this Santa Fe Zombie Survival Machine—it’s creative… and deadly,” said Steve Shannon, vice president of Marketing for Hyundai Motor America. “With help from the popularity of The Walking Dead franchise, Hyundai continues to expand the conversation around Hyundai vehicles with young and passionate audiences.”
On the topic of audiences, there also should be a large one at the New York Comic-Con for another project from the Hyundai/Walking Dead partnership: a new documentary that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the first Walking Dead comic, created and written by Robert Kirkman. The film, titled “Hyundai Presents The Walking Dead: A Decade of Dead,” will get its first screening at the New York event on October 10.
Can’t make it to the convention? You can watchthe documentary beginning on Oct. 11, 2013, at www.TheWalkingDead.com, while you can see the Hyundai Santa Fe at your local Hyundai dealership.
