[h=1]2014 Hyundai Equus, Santa Fe Make News in Miami[/h]by HYUNDAI IN THE NEWS on NOVEMBER 8, 2013
One of the country’s top Spanish-language resources for sports fans, ESPN Deportes Radio, recently honored two of the country’s favorite vehicles at the Miami International Auto Show. It was there that the auto experts from Ruedas (“Wheels”) ESPN presented the 2014 Hyundai Equus and 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe with best-in-show awards in their respective classes.
For the Equus, that meant being named Best Luxury Sedan of the year, with the Santa Fe earning the nod as the Best Large SUV.
Said Jaime Florez, director and host of Ruedas ESPN: “Hyundai has built two vehicles that perfectly represent their segments. The 2014 Equus is pure luxury at a value while the 2014 Santa Fe has everything a growing family needs.”
Also helping matters is the fact that both vehicles were significantly refreshed for the new model year. The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe launched earlier this fall with newly available features like blind-spot detection and LED accents lights. The 2014 Hyundai Equus has been thoroughly restyled, with a redesigned front fascia and rear end, fresh wheel designs and a fine-tuned cabin.
Something else two winners do have in common: high praise from Chris Hosford, executive director of Corporate Communications for Hyundai Motor America.
“We are very proud of both the 2014 Hyundai Equus and Santa Fe for earning awards from Ruedas ESPN,” Hosford noted. “This is a significant accomplishment and proves that our vehicles are strong performers across numerous markets and have the ability to appeal to a wide variety of demographics, including Hispanics.”
Hyundai now has been recognized with four Ruedas ESPN awards in the past three years, including prizes for the Hyundai Veloster (Best New Product 2011) and Hyundai Veloster Turbo (Best Sports Car 2012).
