[h=1]Hyundai Sets All-Time US Sales Record[/h]by HYUNDAI IN THE NEWS on JANUARY 3, 2014
Last year certainly was one for the record books for Hyundai. Leveraging a notable surge in holiday shopping, the brand delivered more than 60,000 units in a single December for the first time in this country, growing volume by 6 percent on the strength of 63,005 sales.
Helping lead the way were:
“An exceptionally strong post-Christmas sales blitz enabled Hyundai to shatter our annual sales record which was set just last year,” said Dave Zuchowski, president and CEO, Hyundai Motor America. “All year-end indicators appear to be signaling a robust economic environment for 2014. Home prices are back to their pre-recession levels, jobless rates are continuing to decline, and consumer confidence is on the upswing. This is welcome news for the automotive sector and at Hyundai we’re particularly excited to be ringing in the New Year.”

- Hyundai Accent, with 7,100 sales and a whopping 142 percent gain
- Hyundai Elantra, lifting sales 14 percent and delivering 21,692 units
- Hyundai Santa Fe, benefiting from 8,249 sales and a 13.3 percent advance
- Hyundai Azera, continuing to sizzle with a 28.9 percent improvement and 1,092 sales
- Hyundai Veloster, up 54.2 percent, thanks to 3,047 sales
- Hyundai Genesis, attracting 3,280 premium customers and a 36.8 percent sales jump
