For the second year in a row, Hyundai is the top-ranked automaker on the Customer Loyalty Engagement Index, an annual measure of customer engagement developed by Brand Keys, one of the country’s premier customer-relationship consulting firms. The 2011 Index was based on an analysis of 528 different brands in 79 separate categories.

One important example of the automaker’s commitment to satisfying customers is its robust warranty coverage: “Hyundai is completely committed to our customers with Hyundai Assurance, the industry’s most comprehensive consumer protection plan,” according to Trea Reedy, national manager, Dealer Marketing and Resource Management, Hyundai Motor America.

Hyundai Assurance provides a comprehensive range of warranty coverage for all new Hyundai vehicles, including:

10-year/100,000-mile powertrain protection
5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty
7-year/unlimited-mileage anti-perforation warranty
5-year/unlimited-mileage 24-hour roadside assistance
8-year/80,000-mile federal emission defect & performance warranty
7-year/70,000-mile California emission control systems warranty
12-month/12,000-mile replacement parts and accessories limited warranty
“Hyundai has been able to best meet customer expectations and has, again, scored the highest levels of loyalty when it comes to the Automotive category, taking the #1 spot in our Customer Loyalty Engagement Index,” said Robert Passikoff, Brand Keys founder and president. “Of course, the true test of loyalty and engagement always shows up in the marketplace, so we weren’t surprised to see their sales are up again over last year.”

In fact, Hyundai started off 2011 the same way it ended 2010—with a string of new monthly sales records—and expectations are high that new vehicles like the completely redesigned Hyundai Elantra will keep that success going. The new Elantra offers dramatic styling and high value, along with some particularly impressive fuel-economy ratings. Regardless of model or transmission, the Elantra can achieve 29 mpg city/40 mpg highway/33 mpg combined according to the EPA.

And as noted by Reedy, “With our strong new lineup filled with stylish, fuel efficient and affordable vehicles, both new and returning customers are keeping Hyundai at the top of their shopping lists.”
